In the blink of an eye we’re in May already. I can hardly believe that the time is passing by so fast, but like the old saying goes, time flies when you’re having fun.
April was a very busy month for me. A lot of orders and a lot of markets.
I did my first Go To Play Market at Giba Gorge. It was great! The scenery at the mountain bike park was beautiful and there was an Easter egg hunt held for all the kids which was so much fun. If you haven’t been there yet, I would highly recommend the market.
It’s on the 2nd Sunday of every month, and you can find directions to the park on the Go To Play Market Facebook page.
I also had my 2nd month at UpMarket Umhlanga. I’m really enjoying this market. Not only is there such a great range of different products on sale by other traders, but the market is undercover, so rain or shine, the market will be open. It’s also a great place for me to meet a lot of my customers that I’ve been chatting with online and for people to actually see who Madame Macaron is.
The Durban blogger meet also happened in April. Although I was too late to get in on the action, I did sponsor some goodies to all the lovely bloggers who attended. They very kindly posted pictures on Instagram and Twitter and blogged about the event and the treats they received. I will actually be collaborating with one of the bloggers, Megan Deane on a post soon, and I’m very excited about it, so that’s definitely something to look out for.
Here are some of the photos that were posted on the various social media sites. I love the different styling of the products done by each blogger.
The 2nd round of The Macaron of the Month boxes also went out in April. It is steadily growing momentum and I will be throwing more of a spotlight on it in May.

That’s about it. I’m anticipating that May is going to be even more amazing than April, especially since I’m kicking it off with an order for 1000 cupcakes. So, I’m going to get back to baking those and here’s a roundup of photos of some of the other orders I had in April for you 🙂
